El Mundial

It’s time for the World Cup! Of course here in South America there is a lot of excitement about this. I enjoy sports, though I prefer playing to watching. However, I’ve heard some concerns about the World Cup and its effects on Brazilian communities. I have seen a few articles and news items floating around about this; I haven’t read or watched any of them yet. Here they are — as a reminder to myself to read up, and in case you’re interested in learning more (or if you have any other sources to add, please share with me).

What are your thoughts?
